Nicole Auger – Running for Social Director
Anyone else bank 60+ hours at Schulich this week? Don’t lie, I know you did.
It’s so easy to get swallowed up in the demands of the MBA program and forget about things like sleeping, eating and showering (or maybe the showering part is just me). But one of the most challenging things is maintaining a social life! We all get caught up in assignments, projects and coffee chats, but I would argue that meeting new people, making social connections and sharing in experiences is equally as important.
For those who know me, I am a huge fan of music, specifically jazz. One of the reasons I play music is to bring people together to share in a memorable experience. That same reason is driving me to run for Social Director: I want to bring all of you together to create lasting memories at Schulich events!
I am a combined MA/MBA student, specializing in Arts, Media and Entertainment Management. Through an active performing career and three years full-time experience as a K-12 music educator, I have acquired significant experience organizing concerts and leading students during events and excursions.
As a newcomer to Toronto, I understand how difficult the transition to a new city – or for many of you, a new country – can be! For me, meeting new people and hosting events was the best way to make Toronto feel like home. My vision for everyone at Schulich is to leverage the social portfolio in order to facilitate relationship-building and student-body unification. We are Team Schulich!
So, get out there, get involved, and make your Schulich story amazing! We have just two years to make the most out of this experience and, as Social Director, I want to make sure that these Schulich years are the most memorable for you!
Let’s make Schulich social again!
