Diversity defines Schulich. Diversity shapes our cultural experiences and core beliefs. Diversity makes us our unique selves as we carve our way at Schulich.
It’s time to celebrate the various diversities and international characters of our student body with Schulich’s most phenomenally cultural extravaganza on October 13th, 2018.
Culture Crawl is an event organized by the GBC to celebrate the different cultures and diversity of Schulich graduate students. The purpose of this event is to get a glimpse of the beautiful cultures that Schulich students come from and to embrace our differences while representing the student body at Schulich. The event is kickstarted by a talent show where students portray their culture through any medium of their choice, followed by a pavilion crawl across the campus residences where students indulge in gastronomic delights and drinks from different countries.
There are 3 ways in which you can soak in the cultural festivities:
1. Talent Show
Show us your culture through a solo or group performance in the form of any art such as music, dance, theatre or whatever it is that makes you feel closer to your home! The talent show will take place in the McEwen Auditorium and will give the Schulich community a chance to immerse themselves in the beautiful diversity at school through delightful talent performances.
2. Pavilion Crawl
Food brings the world together, especially the food whose aromas has you remembering home. Following the cultural performances, students will do a pavilion crawl from one culture to another on-campus residences to indulge in decadent delights and cultural journey unique to that region or country.
3. Purchase a Ticket
The Talent show and Pavilion Crawl are great ways to showcase your culture, however if neither of them are for you, you can still attend this cultural celebration day and cheer for your peers!
Early-bird tickets are priced at $20 until October 7th.
Regular tickets are priced at $25 and are available October 8th onwards.
This event is open to all Graduate Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff as well as family and friends. All guests who wish to attend the pavilion crawl must be above the age of 19.
Please note that the event is free for participants of the talent show and the pavilion.
Location: Schulich School of Business – McEwen Auditorium followed by Campus Residences.
